Is there a way to remove the filter that turns the letters C D, when put together, into "celiac disease" every time????? Thanks! . . . Lynne

If I am talking about a C D and not celiac disease, I just seperate the two letters. I do the same for D H so that they don't think I am taling about my husband.

Sorry but members' posts can only be helpful if a search here, or at some search engine can find the key words associated with the information that has been posted. People here use C D and G F all constantly, which makes finding their info by others in a search impossible. For this info to help others it must contain important key words (like celiac disease and gluten free).

I noticed when I posted last that "G F" (without the space) got changed to "gluten-free." Why is this happening now? Is there a reason that acronyms need to be changed? Is there a list somewhere that outlines which words/phrases will be changed?

I had a similar thing happen this morning too.

I posted a recipe and one of my ingredients (a tade-name grain) was changed to "Lame Advertisment".

I had typed the word s-a-l-b-a (without the dashes).

I don't know all the words, but definitely G F will change as will C D...it changes to celiac disease.

I think Lame Advertisement is another...it changes to Lame Advertisement

I just found it curious, since I don't think this was happening when I first joined. There is one forum I'm a member of that simply links acronyms to a dictionary so if someone doesn't understand it, they can look it up. Hmmm...let's try a couple others to see if they change:

I think it's crazy when you are reading about someone's girlfriend and they keep referring to their gluten free... or when someone is talking about the music on the compact disc in their car player and it comes out, I have the new Madonna celiac disease !!!!!!!!!!! :P

Oh, this is too funny :lol: 'jerk' is exchanged for the normal term for a female dog, and of course we all know what 'poop' replaced. :lol::lol:

For bad words it is obvious why the filter is there. Some companies' names are changed to "Lame Advertisement" because they have broken our rules and used this forum to advertise their products.

For the rest like G.F. or C.D. Open Original Shared Link.

      Anyone had endoscopy with a cold/cough???

      I have my endoscopy on Thursday, has anyone had the procedure done with a cough? I don't have a continuous cough, but every now and then throughout the day I have sort of coughing episodes. They are a lot better than they were but I called endoscopy and they said to speak to my gp and my gp got back to me and said I need to ask endoscopy if its ok if I have it done still.  Help!

      Thank you so much, everyone. For the moment my doctor just has me taking iron but hopefully we can reconnect soon. I'm going to look into genetic testing, too. Great advice all around and I appreciate it--and you can bet I'm going off the PPIs!

      I walk fast for fitness, 4 to 6 km per day. I am also 74 years old. Apart from the Celiac challenge, my lifestyle is healthy. I had a sciatiac nerve pinching under my one foot, with inflamation in my whole shin. It was almost cured, when the other shin started paining and burning. I do stretches, use a natural cooling gel and rest my feet. Can Celiac cause muscle pains/inflamation, or is it just over-excercising?

      I recently started shopping at a nearby Trader Joe's store. I was surprised at the number and variety of (healthy) gluten-free options sold there. I must admit their low prices are also quite tempting. However, I am curious as to the labeling on all their packages. While none of their products are certified as gluten-free, many are identified as 'GLUTEN FREE' on the packaging. Are these items safe for celiacs? Has anyone tried Trader Joe's products and have there been any adverse reactions?

      HI, my doctor suggested one week of consuming gluten before blood tests.  I have been gluten free for 3 years.  Has anyone been through this and will I get exact results after one week of consuming gluten?  I don't even know if I can do this, if I get sick I am not sure if I can continue, any suggestions??  Thanks in advance.
