I am also in Southern Ontario, and would definitely be interested in meeting additional fellow celiacs! I just discovered this site (don't know how I missed it before...

) and am so pleased to finally be able to communicate with others who share this problem.
I was diagnosed as a kid, but back then all we knew to avoid was wheat, rye and barley. We didn't have any information about byproducts. Didn't know malt was a no-no, didn't know about HPP being suspect, caramel colour, etc. etc. I'm still learning - only found out about these issues a couple of years ago when I started surfing the net concerning celiac, so you can imagine my concern now, realizing I've been ingesting this "bad" stuff all these years without realizing it was a problem. I am totally asymptomatic, so it's very hard to avoid "cheating"!
Whether we manage to connect in person or not, it's nice to meet you, and I hope to come here often for information and inspiration!
