I just wanted to share a project that I did with my dd today. I have found memories of making sugar cookies at the holidays as a child. My dd and I had so much fun making a gluten-free version of these cookies today.

Here's the recipe I used......

**For my fellow dairy free'ers, I used Spectrum Coconut Butter that was in the refrig. for a little while to make the oil nice and solid.

**I also used organic cane sugar for regular sugar and it worked well also.

We cut out Halloween shapes. I ordered some natural food colors that I used to tint bats and make orange icing. The colors are from Dancing Deer Bakery. I got mine from The Allergy Grocer. I was planning on using my cookie stamps but the colors are thick so that didn't work but they were still really cute and great for those who avoid food colors. smile.gif

I hope you have as much fun as we did. biggrin.gif
