I'm trying to start a support group in the Tacoma/Puyallup area. I haven't really been able to find anything down here. Does anyone know of a support group in the Tacoma area? GIG lists one, but then the address is Seattle and I e-mailed them and didn't get a response. If you are interested let me know and I would also appreciate ideas from anyone who goes to meetings as to what to talk about or do.

Thanks! Abby

Hi Abby,
Just a brief note of encouragement for you to start a support group - We are the Bellingham Gluten Intolerance Group - I invite you to check out our website - www.glutenfreeway.info. There you can find out a bit about us, our meeting topics, etc. We started in 1999 with only 5 members. We serve the "4th Corner" region of the state of Washington. Many of our meetings are attended by folks from 50 miles or more away !! I would think that in Tacoma/Puyallup there would be a great need for a support group because of a much higher population base. There is such a need for people to have a place to find others who are dealing with the gluten-free diet - support and encouragement - so important.
