We were at a Kennel Club Christmas dinner party last night at the Sandman Inn, and it was so wonderful that some of the people sitting near me asked the server why they couldn't have what I was having biggrin.gif
I called the kitchen manager a couple weeks ago, and went over the diet and ordered my dinner. Then she called me back a few days before the party to see what I could have for dessert.
When we got there she came out to ask if the chef could saute some mushrooms for me in butter and pure garlic. And of course I said yes. Anyway, my dinner came out with a small steak (medium), baked potato, bright green broccoli and a whole bunch of sauted button mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious and I've had not one single blister, or any digestive reactions! tongue.gif Oh yes ... a beautiful plate of fresh fruit artistically organized followed.
What a wonderful evening with friends and good food!
The club paid for all the wine $400 worth laugh.gif That's for 24 of us .. not just me. The weather was perfect with bright stars, sparkly snow on the sides and bare roads. And the hour drive into town was super with all the pretty Christmas lights. I'm just thrilled biggrin.gif

It's so fun to know that we really can go out with a group and have a great time safely. Things really are getting better! I've seen much more awareness in restaurants in the last couple of years. I think Celiac Disease is starting to penetrate the hospitality business, perhaps even faster than the medical business. rolleyes.gif
