Hi all,
Friday I'm going to the Westchester Broadway Dinner Theater (Elmsford NY). I called the other day and was able to get the menu for the evening, but I was unable to speak to a chef. The woman I spoke with said she would make a note in the book that I had an allergy to gluten (wheat, barley, rye, and oats), and that the chefs "might" look at the book before they start preparing the meals for the performance I'm attending.
A couple of the dishes they're serving look like they'll be very easy to make gluten free (cornish hen, prime rib, roast pork loin), but my concern is that if I don't speak to a chef before hand, they'll be problems-- for example, the cornish hen comes with stuffing. If they stuff the hen with the stuffing, then I'm out of luck!
My family is paying quite a bit of money to attend this show, and I would really like to be able to eat something! We're planning on getting there a little early on Friday so hopefully I can talk to a chef then, but I don't know if it'll do any good.
Has anyone had any experience with Westchester Broadway before? They're a pretty upscale place, so I was rather surprised that I wouldn't be able to speak with a chef!
Thanks in advance
Jess
