Its been oh aobut 4 or 5 WEEKS since the last time our son got a little gluten (best stretch yet!) , and he has started TALKING! In leaps and bounds! He went from ZERO WORDS to prbly 10 or so in like 2 days! He is nearly 2 and 1/2 and this is the first sign of progress.

Every time he gets gluten we see a MAJOR mental set back.

But now we are making foward progress with verbal communications for the first time since he was 10 months old!

Gosh and to think they try to say Celiac is a GI disorder, but is so blantly odviosu it has a HUGE nuerualogical impact on our son!

How WONDERFUL!!! Isn't it marvalous to see him grow and learn and develop? Uh, how's his hearing? That along with the gluten probably gave him a double whammy. Merry Christmas!!!

You're right in thinking it's not just a GI disease, and the researchers seem to be finding this out too - there is a lot of talk about the neuro symtptoms in the newest research. Also stuff about other areas in addition to neuro.

yay Vincent! that is awesome! and you are right, gluten is SCARY! I can see the neurological effects it had on me for all those years I went undiagnosed! Glad my daughter doesn't have to go through that.

Congrats on your son's progress - it is so wonderful!

I'm positive it's more than a GI disorder. Everytime I get glutened I get a major case of mind fog.
