outback is my favorite gluten-free restaurant. i never get sick eating there. tonight when i ordered my usual salad with bleu cheese dressing, they said that the bleu cheese dressing is not gluten-free anymore. whether it always wasn't or newly isn't i wasn't clear on, and they said it's cos it's made with wheat vinegar.

first off i wanted to warn everyone, but secondly, for those who do eat vinegar derived from gluten containing sources, is this even a problem ??? i ALWAYS got bleu cheese dressing on my salads from there. i'm confused !

does anyone else have more information ? the person was a little unclear on the matter.

I don't eat vinegar that is derived from wheat or processed with wheat because a little bit causes a lot of problems with me. I use Balsamic, Rice, and wine vinegars. Much of the time I use olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon juice. for salad dressings.

I don't know if it has changed or not but I have read that the reason Blue Cheese is not ok for us is that it is grown on bread. I have had the ranch at Outback and it's really good.
