It is wonderful to see some many new menbers here, welcome.
I would like to find out what everyones reation time is to being glutened. I am still, by far, not healed, but feeling much better. Although I have had a few ACCIDENTS ( and I really mean accidents)
I seem to have a 24 hour distance, between glutened and reaction time. I know that everyone is different in sensitivity, but and curious as to others.

I am really not sure yet as the main thing that led me towards figuring out what was going on was anemia. I've not had the more typical symptoms, save for diarrhea at times, but not even 100% sure that was from the Celiac.
That said, the other day I had bloating, "rumbling" and gas about 30-45 minutes after lunch. Turns out that although I thought the salad dressing I used was safe it was not. So I am guessing that now that I have been gluten-free for a while I am going to see some reaction (which, I don't think is all bad) and that the reaction for me will be pretty quick. At least that time.

Well, it seems that my reaction time is getting longer the longer I am off gluten. When I was so ill last summer everything I ate went right through me after about half an hour. Two weeks after going off gluten it was about half an hour before I got pains everywhere, and about an hour before the diarrhea. A little over a month ago, it was almost two hours. And now it is about 24 hours as well. And the diarrhea lasts only a few hours, instead of a few days (other symptoms last longer, though).

I usually have about 36-48 hours, depending on the food. Pasta is almost instant though. But pizza (I cheated a couple of weeks ago) was about 2 days. It is really weird. My symptoms are totally off now that I am gluten free. It takes longer to get sick, and the sick is so much less than it was when I was eating every day. Not that it is ok to eat now, just odd that it is getting "better".

I am running for the bathroom about 30-60 min after being accedentally glutened.
I am always amazed at the different answers this question always gets!

I usually begin to feel the cramping begin about 2 hours after the "accident". Shortly after that, the D sets in. It is interesting to read the different answers to this question.

I see reactions about 24-36 hours after. It makes it hard to pin-down the offending food sometimes. I started a food journal which helps in looking back but, it's still frsutarting.

Actually, looking back at my answer, it isn't entirely accurate. I got a heavy feeling in my stomach shortly after eating that pizza (doubting the celiac, wanting to know for sure a few days ago). A stomach ache not long after. And the next morning I was wheezing and feeling really tired and apathetic (which lasted all day), before finally, 24 hours after eating the pizza, I got diarrhea. I also used to have constantly tearing eyes (especially out of the outer corners), which had almost disappeared, and it was very bad again. It's finally getting better today (three days later).
