Hey all,

I am travelling from Australia to the states in Feb. I have managed to find a bunch of places in NYC and LA. A couple in vegas, however i was wondering if someone could assist in providing some ideas for places in Orange County. I read somewhere about a place called sparks in Huntington beach.

Ive done the whole thing about requesting gluten free on airline (flying united) however reading the posts on here im not exactly convinced that it will go smooth sailing.

Thanks in advance.

I used to live in HB. Sparks is on Main Street, downtown, right off of Pacific Coast Highway. I haven't eaten there, but have heard they can do gluten free for you, and I know they were always packed. There's a PF Changs (chinese, and they have a gluten-free menu) in Long Beach that's about a 20 minute drive from downtown HB, as well as an Outback (ha! don't know if you'd care for their Australian theme) with has a gluten-free menu. There's a place called Au Lac (their website), that has vegetarian and vegan and raw foods - which might sound a bit out there, but can be a fun trip since many raw items are naturally gluten-free.

try pm-ing "picture perfect". She's from that area. Do you have a set of the Triumph dining cards? They are well worth the money and have saved me from getting glutened on one occasion.

What gluten free restaurants have you found in the LA areas? I'm going to be going there for two weeks next month and would love to know.

Thanks,
Carol
