I figured since I live iN NY I might as well go to Columbia where they have the celiac special center. I can't get an appt. with Dr. Green but was able to get one with Dr. Lee. Anyone have any experiences with her?

Hi!

I was trying to make an apt. like crazy with that doctor, but they were never returning my calls! HOw did you do it?

But I ended up going to see Dr. Green because I was really sick one week and my fiance's boss knew someone who know someone, etc. to get me into see him the next morning! (and even though Dr. Green doesn't take my insurance, I actually got a reimburssment from my insurance company this week for the WHOLE amount! -kind of crazy! and good! )

Anyway, since she is a collegue of Dr. Green's, I'm sure she must be good and know what she is talking about. It seems like the doctors in his little group really want to take care of their patients, so I'm sure this doctor will be great!

May I ask why you are switching doctors? And are you still having some problems on the diet as well?

It basically took 2 weeks of me calling repeatedly to finally find out if Dr. Lee takes my insurance (because Dr. Green doesn't). But once I found out that she does I was able to make an appt. pretty easy.

I'm actually not really having to many problems on the diet, but I know you're supposed to go for blood work after 6 months of being on the diet. I also need to get the bone density test done - and I figured since they specialize in celiac they would be the best place to get the bone density test done for this.

I'm not happy with the GI that did my endoscopy. He seems to know what he is doing and is pretty thorough, but he is also money hungry. He seems to want to turn me into his guinea pig for him and all his colleagues to make a few extra bucks on a bunch more tests that just aren't necessary right now. I don't want to get into the whole thing but I just don't want to continue with him. So I figure if I'm gonna switch I might as well switch to the best.

Hi, I had an appointment with her last week. I can't say enough good things about her. She listen and explained everything to me. She ordered blood tests that would show what vitamins I was low in. I just got off the phone with her. She told me that I was low in Vitamin A, Vitamin D and Folic Acid. She asked me when I was going to meet with Ann Lee, so she could have the information waiting for me. I just wished I would have gone to her sooner.

When is your appointment with her? I will be going tomorrow to meet with Ann Lee. You can e-mail me at
