So I believe Enterolab telling me this is what I have:

HLA-DQB1*0201, 0301

I'm trying to read all that other fun stuff that apparantly helps you interpret things, but I am lost. How do you know if you have two copies of a gene? What does the 0301 part mean? Is it saying I have one copy of the celiac gene and another copy of a gluten sensitivity gene? Sorry if these are moronic questions, but I'm a bit confused. Thanks!

Hi Meredith,

You have the same gene combo that both my daughter and I have, DQ2 (0201) & DQ3 (0301). Yes, that is one Celiac gene and one gluten intolerance gene. That means that both of your parents have at least a gluten intolerance, and at least one of them has a Celiac gene...

Thanks gf4life!
