I know that you have to be careful with meats such as chicken and others that may have added seasonings. What about just regular ground beef, or a steak? We have not been worrying about beef, but today I called the number on a steak (which was just the meat, nothing added) and the woman told me she didn't "think" it was gluten-free. Not sure what that meant. Any input would be welcomed. Thanks!

Any fresh cut, plain meat would be gluten-free. By law, if there was anything added to it, they would have to disclose it. Did the person you spoke to know what gluten is? I only ask, because I've spoken to people who really don't know. Was there an ingredient list on the label with the phone number?
