Im gluten-free/Cf and I had some Pamela's brownies last weekend. I got like a cold with my sinuses all plugged up and throat sore, It is allergy season and Im wondering if it was just a cold or my allergies or an allergic reaction to the brownies. The package is called Irresistable Brownie Mix and I just wanted to know if anyone had a problem with them.

Pamela's website says the brownie mix is milk-free. This link below lists the ingredients/allergens in the mix if that helps. Sometimes a product can produce a sinus reaction...try and track the ingredients and see if you get a similar reaction when eating another product. However, as I am typing this I do have my second sinus infection since Feb sad.gif so, it has been a bad year for allergies etc. Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Jen,

I saw that link too, and was a little confused. If you look at the brownie mix,it has a little astreick, I think
(that's where I am confused)it says on the bottom of the page...may contain milk proteins due to manufacturing process.

I also forgot to mention, another symptom, constipation. I always had this before going gluten free and this is the first time I have had it again, since i went gluten-free/cf.

Please, I hope the brownies are okay, and I am not reading that whole littel astreick thingy on the bottom of their chart wrong. I loovvve their brownies... tongue.gif

You are right on! It may contain traces of a milk protien and that might have been enough to set you off. I am in the same boat you are. Try the Gluten Free Pantry chocolate truffle brownies... just made them last night ...m...m.mmmm.mmmmm.mmm

the truffle brownies are really good. those are what i eat when in need of a major chocolate fix, i usually don't like chocolate, but since going casein free, i miss it a lot more than i though i would.
