My husband and I went to a convention in another part of our state this weekend and ate lunch today at our favorite Outback( even before I knew they had glutten free food). I asked for a gluten-free menu and our waitress was wonderful. She herself has celiac and asked about how severe I was and told me she would do whatever she could to make sure my dinner my totally gluten-free. It was well worth it and I just wanted to say Thank you Rachel. Being new to all of these changes in lifestyle it helps when someone is there for you.

Soon, I too will be an Outback Server with Celiac! That must be SO comforting to know that she understood your dietary needs. (PS that's how I sold myself when I applied for the job - I'm working on my masters degree but I have no waitressing experience!)

Rumor has it that an Outback is being built in my area, I can't wait! I've only eaten there a couple of times, but both times the staff was very careful and understanding.
