Hi!! Could anyone tell me if these things are gluten-free to make my bunny face for my cake? I can not look them up on delphi as I don't know any brands. This means that I guess I am just asking in general as no one really knows until I can read the ingredients at the store and/or call the company. Or can I just put this face on the cake & then remove the candy when it is time to eat it?
Licorice for whiskers
Chiclets for teeth
Colored Marshmallows for eyes
Jelly Bean for nose
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

most licorice is NOT gluten-free

Kraft mini colored marshmallows ARE gluten-free

chicklets are gluten-free according to the Silly Yaks pdf file of safe candy

I eat both Starburst Jelly Beans and Jolly Rancher Jelly Beans

there is a brand of licorice that is gluten-free but it's hard to find. It's by a company called candy tree and I don't know if they make the strings. I would not risk putting it on the gluten-free cake and then removing it because of cross contamination issues. If you are going to just remove it, use pipe cleaners or yarn instead! OR shred some pieces of carrots and have orange whiskers!

Jelly belly --- most flavors are gluten free (buttered toast is not...... rolleyes.gif go figure)

We use jelly beans for the eyes and nose on our bunny cake.

Plain m&m's might work for eyes, too.

Good luck!!!
