My parents have offered to take me (and my daughter) to Cancun in November for a family wedding. They are not sure of the resort/hotel we'd be staying at yet, so I can't call ahead and ask all those fun questions. But, assuming they pick the hotel and I can call and be assured... how can I pass this up?

Would you go? What questions should I ask the hotel?

Of course you should go, Ev! See if they will allow you to have a little fridge in your room, and if maybe you are able to have a microwave or even a small stove or hot plate. Then you are able to keep yourself and your daughter safe in case you can't find a safe restaurant.

Maybe you can get a housekeeping suite/cottage or something like that. That would be ideal. Check out places to shop for the stuff you need there over the Internet, and bring what you won't be able to buy there. If everything else fails, you will just have to eat plain, naturally safe food. Which isn't the end of the world, either. It should be fun!
