I seen a dermatologist yestderday to rule out DH. He sayes that I just have eczema. Can celiac disease cause eczema?

Thanks!

celiac disease can go with a whole plethora of skin complaints (and aggravate them)

My husband had psoriasis before going G.F and since going G.F myself I have found that my eczema has got alot better. smile.gif

Since cutting gluten out of my children's breakfasts, snacks, and dinners (as far as I know, they don't have celiac, so I let them have bread or pasta at lunch), I have noticed that my 7-year-old's eczema has disappeared.

I don't know if celiac causes eczema, but I'd say in my son's case, gluten overload causes it!

Thanks for sharing. I was hoping for a definate dx of celiac from the dermatologist but, on the other hand I'm glad I don't have DH! Guess my next move is to get the Gene testing.

Thanks!

BERNESES
I have eczema in my ears (right at the top of the entrance to the canals) and it is INCREDIBLY painful. It only flares up now when I accidentally ingest gluten. Actually, it's one of my first signs. I don't think Celiac causes it, but I think gluten aggravates it in me for sure.

I don't know, but I hope so since I have Eczema (I hope it goes away since I am now gluten free). I know that Celiac/gluten intolerance can cause a bunch of skin problems. I sure eczema could be one of them.
