since my "normal" oven has been in-op, i've been using my toaster oven until my new oven arrives. nothing seems to be baked evenly or properly, and cooking times vary. has anyone else experienced this with using a toaster oven, or is it just that i have a crappy toaster oven? anyone care to speculate WHY this is happening? i'm thinking when you preheat the toaster oven and open the door to add the food, heat recovery is poor, so cooking time varies llike crazy. doesn't explain the uneven cooking though.
