I told him that was all I needed to hear, so no more testing for me, I have my answer, but hubby has to continue for his job wants it in writing, so onward with the Gluten challenge now ..... mad.gif

Belinda,

I think that must be rare for both parents to have it. And, to all get diagnosed at the same time. At least you wont have to worry about in-house gluten contamination!

Hi Belinda, I am glad you have a definate answer on the DH.

On the query about how rare it would be for both parents to be celiac, in my families experience it is not rare at all.

I have 2 children, the children have natural fathers as different as you can get. My oldest child's natural father is Castillo Spanish, grandparents straight from Spain, my youngest's father is Scottish and a Northern European mix, Swedish or Norweigen (sp). I do not show up on blood tests, both of my children did. Both of my children inherited the gene not just from me but also from their Dads. The youngest's Dad was finally tested and did come back positive. With our country being such a melting pot and celiac being so unrecognized here I think it is much more prevelant than many are lead to believe.
