I'm going there on Friday and I was looking at the website and it said no food is allowed into the park. My only other post-celiac disease park experience was Busch Gardens and they let me bring my own food in so I'm not sure what to do here. I sent an email asking about it and I might try calling them tomorrow but if you guys have any info I'd really appreciate it!

Thanks!

bremac,

If you live here in Texas which you don't, they have a previllion that you can sit and eat your own food
or
you could get a cooler ice chest leave it in your car it should stay cool enough until you need to eat your food, It can't get that hot in new england, not as hot as Texas

just a thought

Oh ya they also can stamp you hand to come back in

We have a Six Flags near us and we always bring our lunch in a cooler, leave it in the van, and have a tailgate party. The food inside is nasty and expensive anyway, so even my gluten eating kids would rather do this.

I'm sorry I can't help with Six Flags, but after 3 years of trying, I did finally get a list from Busch Gardens Williamsburg if you plan on going there again.

Even before I was celiac we brought picnic lunches, food at the park is just so much money. We either took it to the pavillion or we went to the car. They hand stamp you so you can come back in.

I think through the ADA they have to either be able to provide food for you OR allow you to bring your own food inside the park. Call customer relations and speak to someone about it. Look into the ADA first though so you are well enough educated about it to argue.

Thank guys! I think we're going to all bring our lunches (I'm the only gluten-free one) and go eat on the tailgate. They don't have a picnic area so I think that's our best bet. My doctor is writing me a note saying I need to have good with me at all times so I can bring a few snacks in. Oh, and in case anyone is wondering, you're allowed to bring water in (woohoo!:P)

I'm assuming by your response that you called. Are we allowed to bring snacks and so forth in to Six Flags parks?

Yep. I emailed and called and was told I could bring in food for only myself. So I am just going to bring some gatorade and gluten-free pretzels to eat when I get whoozy (don't want to pass out in line for the roller coasters!!!) They said to explain to security about my diet and the guy on the phone said a letter from my doctor "wouldn't hurt" so I'm getting one of those too. Good grief, right?
