Hi!

This is my first post and I hope it works rolleyes.gif I'm a mostly SAHM with 5 kids.

My son (2 yrs. old) was just diagnosed with celiacs. My Mom is extremely gluten sensitive (and doesn't see the point in getting a diagnosis...but that's another story).

Anyway, while at my house, she had an organic Horizon yogurt with NutraFlor in it. Oh wow did she have a reaction. For days actually. When I went to Horizon's website, they note that (emphasis mine) :

"What is NutraFloraŽ?
NutraFloraŽ, also know as fructan or fructooligosaccharide (FOS), is a soluble dietary fiber naturally found in a variety of fruits, vegetables, and grains such as bananas, barley, garlic, honey, onion, rye, brown sugar, tomato and asparagus root. It acts as a food source for your own friendly intestinal bacteria, and enhances calcium absorption. NutraFloraŽ is consumed by healthy intestinal bacteria-the same friendly bacteria that help strengthen the immune system, fight infection, help digest food, and even promote regularity.

Wow! (Apaprt from the obvious non-sequiturs such as banana being a grain.....) So I wrote them a nice little email explaining the problem. But if my Mom hadn't had the reaction and tracked it down to the yogurt, we never would have known that it could cause problems - and I was planning to serve the yogurt to my son. Where do I find a list of all these "hidden" sources of gluten? I guess stevia in powder form is off the list, now too? It has FOS in it as well.

I had actually read the label and thought it was gluten free, because it didn't list any grains. Help most gratefully appreciated.

Thanks!
