I have been through 12 months of Dermatologists, ENTs and Allergist. Logan has been on so many antibiotics, steriods, oitnments, etc. Our pharmacy report since Aug '06 is 7 pages long. My son's skin is a train wreck (looks like chicken pox, icthing & bleeding)!!!!!! I think he has DH. All the signs are there. I put him on a Gluten free diet for one week and his skin already looks better. He is actually sleeping and not scratching. The Pediatric Digestive Clinic I took him to wants to biopsy his small intestine...they say this is the "gold" standard for testing. In researching the web, I found that a skin biopsy is a possibility. HELP? I don't know where to go. If there is a skin test, I would rather do this than put my 2 1/2 year old out for a biopsy of his small intestine.
