Peter, you hold a special place in my heart. You were the first person to respond to my very first post on here, so long ago. I was a shellshocked, overwhelmed little thing who couldn't imagine how I could possibly combine the diabetes diet and the gluten-free one...and for the rest of my life! You gave sage advice in your pm. Thanks, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! smile.gif

Thanks, everyone for the kind thoughts. It has been a pretty good day so far, and shortly Jacquie will be taking me out for dinner.

Just got home, so I'm not officially late to the party wink.gif.

A very happy birthday, Peter. Hope that dinner was delicious and gluten free!

I forgot Peter that you were a "fireworks" baby. Hope your birthday dinner was great and HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the rest of the evening.

Again, thanks all. Dinner was wonderful. We went to a celiac-friendly steak and seafood place near us (The Keg, for any Canadians wondering).

It is so nice to have so many friends all over.

My mother was born in Minnesota and raised in California, and she wanted to have a "Fourth of July" baby. She was in labor for most the of the third, but managed to hold on until after midnight for my entrance to the world.

Today is a special day for me, and this forum is a special place. smile.gif

So glad you had a nice dinner.

This is a special place, and we're happy that you're a part of it smile.gif
