I'm looking for a celiac support group in or near Savannah GA. I only know of one other celiac in the area, and she has been diagnosed for a long time and is not into support groups. I am in the process of being diagnosed, and could use the help and support, if for no other reason than buying special flours in bulk and splitting the m. I live alone and don't need to buy enough flour for 12 loaves of bread at a time! laugh.gif

Thanks!

Hi Fran,

My son just brought your post to my attention. We do indeed have a Celiac Support Group here in Savannah. We are meeting THIS Saturday, March 8th, 1:00 p.m. at The Outback Steakhouse on Abercorn (on the southside NOT the downtown location). We have over 100 people on our email list but only about 15 to 20 come to meetings (at best). However, we love to share our experiences and provide support for those newly diagnosed. Please email me at: lfo@bellsouth.net and I'll be happy to respond. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Re: Savannah area Celia Support Group

I live in Hilton Head but would be willing to come to Savannah. I'm sorry that I missed the meeting yesterday. Are they usually on Saturdays? Are there any other people from Hilton Head. I was diagnosed 5 years ago and would really like to meet others who are dealing with this.
