So I am about to do the elimation diet. I am 5'3 and in Aug I weighed 141, now I weigh 124.
I haven't been under 134 in 7 years. I'm a little nervous that I might lose more on this new diet. Can your body keep shedding pounds if you are eating right? I know there is still fat on this body and I'm ok with it leaving all together. My question is, when should I be worried? I am starting this diet today and tomorrow. Probably go for a week maybe two if I can hang. smile.gif

Thanks

I am no expert, but the classic height/weight rule (which is very general) for women is 100 lbs for 5 ft. , and 5lbs per inch past that. So, for example, I am 5'5" so a good starting point for me is about 125 (100 + 5x5) . Medically, losing more than 10% of your ideal weight for some unexplained reason is alarming.

So no, I wouldn't worry yet. The elimination diet is only for 2 weeks, and whatever you might lose then (I should be so lucky!) will quickly come back once you are eating normally. My son was on an elimination diet of rice, and then rice/chicken/olive oil for almost 5 weeks, and he is a healthy food-vacuuming guy now. Good luck!

Thanks.
your son ate chicken? I thought it said no chicken. Can I eat Chicken? Its the only animal I eat. Well, unless you consider seafood animals. Sorry, that was probably mean to some people. As you can tell, I'm ot a vegan and I don't mean to insult. Basically, I am just trying to figure out what to eat. I posted under food shopping lists, and hoping to get some great ideas!!

On a strict elimination diet (and there are *many* ways to do them), you may well find yourself losing weight, because your options are so limited. Try to eat as many calories as you can, but realize that this is a short term thing. At 124, you are not underweight for your height, (you're doing quite excellently!) so you have a little bit of room to work with for a short amount of time. You may find that you need to put some weight back on after the elimination diet, but first things first, and finding out what you can safely eat needs to come first, at this point.

Down to 120.

I know I have some rolls that still sit on my belly and those can probably go... but to me this is so wierd. I don't know what to think of it. Am I gonna go back to 141? I have lost 21 lbs. Which is fine, at first it scared me cause it seemed like one day.. bam skinny.
Now I have to buy new clothes. None of them fit. lol

I just hope I don't lose another 20, even 10 would be bad. I don't care to be stick thin!

I know this is a weird thing to complain about. I am just afraid of whats next. Cause when I started this post, I was 124. Now I am 120.
