OMGosh...I had to turn the channel when Ryan was interviewing him... I just COULD NOT look at that bag'o'nails one second longer, it was actually making me physically sick, lol. I couldn't even watch his audition. Wow...

OMG, I loved the farmer guy, Drew. I thought he sounded very similar to Clint Black. He was adorable too.

I actually kind of liked the fingernail guy. He had an interesting personality. Not too sure on his talent, but the personality was cool.

The one I thought was a little weird was the guy who came and sung Kelly Clarkson Never Again. He looked sort of goth but he carried the picture of his kids, I think his name was Kyle.\

He called it guyliner instead of eyeliner....which I thought was funny.

Yeah, he was definitely eccentric. He seemed like a nice kid though.

He was weird, i dont think i would want him as my kids counselor lol. But im sure it was just the act he was trying to protray cause i dont think if was really that odd in real life people would trust him.

I didn't fully catch the TV ad I saw yesterday, but the only thing I heard was Tuesday. It seems to me that they usually have Idol on two nights, even for auditions, but I"m not sure, lol.

Tuesday and Wednesday according to the american idol website.

Well guys what about last night?

Last night was almost painful, lol. I really did like the brother and sister team though...they had some great harmony going there...I'm glad they put them both through. They probably won't make it through to the final 12, but at least they'll get a shot.

I also thought some of the people not put through had some pretty good voices...they had pitch problems, but that probably could have been worked on. The only reason I even mention that is because it didn't seem like they found that many good ones, and I wondered why they let those go, but at the end they said they found 23 people, so I guess they found some much better voices...we just didn't get to see them all.

American Idol has a rock chick!!!

She is from Atlanta and she is a nurse but dresses punk/goth! She was singing Janis Joplin and CCR. Her name is Amanda. All 3 judges were blown away! I am hoping for another Gina performance!

I LOVED HER!!! She was awesome. I wasn't much of a Gina fan and I thought this girl was way better than Gina! That second song she did was insanely awesome! The first one sounded a little contrived.

Believe it or not, I also like that annoying little homeless boy. There was something about him...

Hi, I'm new and AI is a guilty pleasure for me too. Need something to keep me distracted from life. I have no musical talent what so ever, unless you count playing the radio. I can do that pretty well. Is is just me, or does who they send through seem random somtimes. Like the homeless boy. He didn't seem like a good singer. At least I have heard better, and that means nothing since I can't hear a tune or pitch or any of that, but still. . . sometimes it seems like they can't either.

Susie, if you want to see Paula being spacey, watch Hey Paula! Apparently she goes days and days without sleeping. She looks horrible and makes absolutely no sense. Its sad, but hilarious.

Last night was another great show. I really don't remember anyone except for the girl that they made learn the Dolly song. I actually kind of liked her. Her singing left a lot to be desired, but she was sweet. She did sound a lot like Dolly!

I missed it last night. I agree the homeless kid is mockable. He just seems to be missing a few maybe.

Paula does seem to get spacier as the days go on. Did you see them making fun of her the other night when she couldnt say the word no?

I liked the Dolly sound alike myself. She was sweet, but again, not really as talented as others. I guess they figure that they can weed out the less talented people in Dollywood, or Hollywood or whatever.

So far I like Josiah (the homeless kid), the rockin' nurse, the girl tattoo shop owner (the one whose arm is completely tattoo'd), and the 16 year old boy that suffered from vocal paralysis a few months ago. I also really like the cute farmer kid, but I don't know if he's even there anymore. They didn't show him. There were a few others we liked, but I can't remember who. I think Josiah's going to fall apart if he makes it to the top 24. He's an emotional basketcase.

I was SO glad that the Lampkins didn't make it any further!!! Jeffrey was really starting to get on my nerves! I didn't like the pageant queen girl either.

Personally,

My favorites from previous AI seasons are Kelly, Clay, Carrie, and Josh Greyson (country singer-I think that's his name)...he was the military guy with a new baby who challenged Simon to do push-ups on stage from season 1.

The person I think got screwed by voters was Tamiarah (sp?) from season 1 (I think).

The guy dressed in feathers at this year's auditions had me cracking up. I just love watching the auditions. Makes me feel more normal

So far, my favorite is the 18 yr. old kid with brown hair...he's got a gorgeous voice, and he seems very polite.

Well, that's my life. Taking care of my son, cleaning the house, and getting a good laugh from the AI auditions. Kind of sad... well, everything but my baby. He's my joy.

Now that it is down to 24 people, I'll start watching AI. I watched the guys last night. I liked a few of them. Some them I really didn't care for (like the Ellen DeGeneres look-alike).

I'm going to try to watch tonight, but I'm leaving town in the morning so I'm not sure if I will be able to.

That Danny kid that sang Elvis's Jail House rocked bothers me....he is a bit stuck on himself. I didn't care for Colton either. Where is the kid who lived in his car...I started watching and missed the first few.

The homeless kid didn't make the top 24. I really liked that 17-year-old. Was his name David? The guy with the dread locks who played guitar was good too. I don't really remember anyone else.

The guys are really strong this year!!! Last year most of the guys didn't even deserve to be there. This year its the opposite, they're mostly all awesome with only a few exceptions. So how do you think the girls will do tonight? I hope they're even half as good as the guys. Thus far my guy favorites are the Davids, Jason Castro, and Michael Johns. I hope they all make it to the top 12. I can't wait to hear the girls tonight!!!

I only watched the first hour last night, so didn't get to see much, lol. Will probably do the same tonight.

I think they have some really strong contenders in both women and men this year...kind of exciting, lol.

Oh wait, I take it back! I really liked the Aussie guy too. I think he sang last.

I tivoed it and haven't had a chance to watch it yet, it's hard to keep up with when it is on 3 nights a week

Tivo is an amazing thing, it only took me about 20 minutes to watch all of the performances

That means there is about an hour and forty minutes of commercials and filler in the 2 hr show

I felt so bad for that kid with the long hair, Garrett Haley, Simon was totally cruel. He should just stick to critiquing the performance and the music/song, not personal appearance.

I did watch a few of the ladies last night, i think from 7 to 12. The older one at the end was pretty good, even tho i think she looks alot older then 24.
