I just got back from a cruise, and it was fine for me to be gluten-free.

The only problem arose before we sailed, and I found out we were supposed to send in some form to "purchase" a number of gluten-free items at no cost. Turns out though that there was at least one other person on the ship that was also gluten-free and there was bread for breakfast, and a sign on the toast station that siad we just had to ask for it. They also had a gluten free brownie for dessert at supper time.
I will be posting the full report on a thread I started before we left...so look for updates there.

Best I can offer is to check with you travel agent or call the cruise line and ask for ship serives. They will be able to help you out. In my case, with the missed form, she emailed the chef on the ship to make sure this would not be an issue. When we booked it though, we had the travel agent put in a not on the file that I needed a specific diet, and were told it would not be a problem.

The way they mader the meals work, was that at dinner, they would bring me the menu for the next night so I could make my selections and they would alter them accordingly. Also gave the rest of my family a sneak peek at the next nights menu.
