Black Bean Hummus

I like to make Hummus a lot, there is always some in my fridge! smile.gif
For this hummus I used Black Beans instead of traditional Garbanzos.
And fresh cilantro and lime juice!
Enjoy!

1 can black beans
1/2 Lime for juice
1 garlic clove, pulverized, then minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
1/4 ts chipotle chile powder
1 ts kosher salt

Drain beans, and add (in your favorite food processor or blender) all the ingredients, including drained beans then process until smooth.

Serve with yummy organic tortilla chips or gluten free crackers.

Hey there
Who do you buy your beans from??
sickchick

I get my Black Beans in a can @ Fred Meyer (Kroger) they carry "S & W" brand, their "house" brand and "Bush's"

I hope this helps. cool.gif

I make this all the time too except use a ultra fine pink salt from Japan and Kona Rangpur lime juice.
Wish I could send you the limes from here, they are just great!

Make sure they contact me next time they are here and I'll fix them up with some lime syrup to bring back.
Still illegal to send most fruit back to the mainland. Better yet, come with them and pick up yourself!
