I used to live in NOLA and I'll be going back for a visit in April - my first gluten-free. Buffet style breakfast at Court of Two Sisters or even Commanders shouldn't be too hard, and I think most of the Brennans' restaurants will be flexible and ideal for dinner. I was dairy-free when I lived down there and and that was never a problem.
I found this blog post with some good recommendations:
http://www.celiacfoodreviews.com/2007/03/n...free-style.html As for lunch, I will probably hit my favorite ethnic food restaurants - most other places stick to battered and fried. I don't know if Houston's has reopened, but they used to have a good lunch menu.
I will take notes when I am down there and post again after my return.
