I know there are several kinds of tests out there for Celiacs but I need to know what is best for my kids. They really really hate needles but I want an accurate test.
My nutritionist recently told me about a new stool test that is 75% accurate and only costs like $48.
I have also read about a saliva test.
I am looking for a test that is accurate , that doesn't cost a bazillion dollars and isn't invasive.

If my kids do the stool or saliva test do they need to eat tons of wheat before the test?

I don't know of any alternative test but for kids they have "butterfly" needles which are painless and so thin that you literally don't feel anything. (My friend has to use them since her veins are horrible). They are for very small veins (like kids) and veins that are hard to find. You have to ask for it though.

I am going through the same thing - wanting to test my kids as I am suspect of some of their symptoms - but I know they'll just refuse to get a blood test.
