Hello all, I am new here so bare with me. My 3 year old son recently had blood work done that suggested he may have celiac disease. Dr. Graham-Maar at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia has recommended an endoscopy. Searching the web, I found that there is a new FDA approved test by Inova Diagnostics called the QUANTA Lite™ Celiac IgA Profile which from what I understand (and could be wrong) is a blood test that is more accurate than an endoscopy / biopsy. So my question is, why wouldn't the doctor recommend this test instead of something as extreme as an endoscopy?
Of course, I will ask the Dr. but as you all know, they are not that easy to get a hold of.
Here is info on the test:

Any insight is much appreciated.
