My daugthter is on a gluten and dairy free diet. We'll be staying with family in Williamsburg, VA and I'm wondering where I can find gluten-free products in stores. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Hello,
I was in Williamsburg back in the spring and had a wonderful time by the way. I only went to the main grocery store Krapps I think its called or Kropps? I brought alot of gluten free goodies with me in my suitcase such as glutino pretzels, bread etc. so I didn't search for a health food store but Krapps had a decent sized health food area with frozen gluten free entrees etc. and I noticed a few mixes for brownies etc. didn't look too hard since I brought alot of stuff with me. They also had boarshead meat and cheeses which are gluten free. Maybe someone else knows of a natural grocer in the area. If you go to busch gardens, they didn't say a thing about me bringing in a bag of lunch (they would object to a cooler), I just told them I was on a diet restriction and they didn't even bother to look in my bag. The next day I packed regular stuff in there for hubby and daughter since they thought the food there wasn't worth the expensive prices

It was a cooler time then so I just kept it in the lockers till we were hungry but now if you bring sandwhiches etc. you can take it to the nurse station and they will keep it in the refrigerator for you. Have fun!
