I did search the forum but all I found were a couple of posts from last year about restaurants in upstate NY. I'm specifically looking in the Falls area.
Thanks for any help.

Hi Susan,
I live in Niagara Falls, and have only recently been diagnosed with gluten intolerance. It's hard here as nearly every restaurant seems to be either Italian or a burger joint...
A restaurant called Johnny Roccos, on Lundy's Lane at the corner of Dorchester has gluten-free pasta dishes. They charge a dollar more for that option, but the dishes are very good.

I was there last fall for two evenings. One night we ate at "Shoeless Joe's" (on the corner near the casino). Perhaps I got lucky but despite having no gluten free menu the waiter was very knowledgeable about gluten and talked to the kichen staff. The other place we ate was the Keg (they apparently have several locations) in the Embassy Suites. Again, the wait staff was knowledgable. Of course, if you go to a steak place it is pretty easy anyway to just get a steak and potato.

Are you going on to be on the US or Canadian side? Try buffaloglutenfree.org for the states side. I'm from the Niagara Region on the Canadian side, so if you are going to certain places, I might be able to guide you to some places close by.

Swiss Chalet is pretty good with allergen labelling . . . there is one in Niagara Falls. I'm familiar with the area, but don't eat out at all, so I'm afraid I don't have any other suggestions!
