Hello All,

Im brand new to this site and only been dx'd w/ celiac disease est fall 2007. I havn't found it difficult to cope w/ celiac disease; just treating it like a "Lifestyle" & diet change. (missing Beer is the hardest part)

However, the most frustrating thing i've encountered so far is the fact that I have been Declined for Life Insurance by three major carriers here in Canada (Ontario).

Has anyone experienced any similar difficulties? If so, what have you done to get coverage?

Make a list of insurance companies which declined you and apply to other companies. Every
insurance company has different underwriting criteria/standards....you may need their
homeoffice to approve and you may not get Preferred rates but you might find a company
which understands celiac (it it's celiac that is getting you declined).
