I wanted to buy some "HALLS" today (who gets a cold in the summer time anyway?).....One of the ingedients was ISOMALT. I googled it and found it is derived from beets, but i can't find it on any of my safe/unsafe lists. Dose anyone know if it's glutenated?

It is my understanding that, at this time, all Hall's formulas are gluten-free. This was not always so, but the barley content was removed from those that had it well over a year ago. I am not familiar with isomalt, but if it is made from beets it should be safe. Beets are not a grain and do not contain any gluten.

A gluten-free cough drop for sure is Robitussin Honey Lemon. I had the world's worst cough last winter, went through 2 bags of these with no issues.

Oooh, I'm so glad I saw this thread! I've been wondering about the isomalt in Ricola cough drops.
