My sister is allergic to gluten. This Thursday we'll be traveling to NY for the Sox/Yankees game. I really am hoping that we'll be able to find some good gluten free restaurants near the stadium. Does anyone have any suggestions? I know that there are probably a lot when you get closer to the city but I'm hoping we can fill up on some food nearby before the game since I doubt she'll have any options once we get inside. Thanks for all your help!!

Don't know about that stadium or area but I went to a ball game this summer. Went to the ballpark site online and found that they allow softsided coolers and ice packs into the park. Security opened it up as we went through the gate but quick and no problem. We ate a a nearby restaurant that has a gluten-free menu for lunch and I brought some stuff from home in the cooler as we thought we might do dinner at the game, with everyone ordering dogs or pizza or possibly eating at home after an hour ride back. Main point is that we knew of a gluten-free friendly restaurant in the area and carefully timed our meal there. Also called ahead and made reservations and let them know I'd be dining gluten-free. That's what this particular place requests that you do.

Since we were bringing the cooler anyway, and it was hot, I wet washcloths, rung them out, rolled them up and stuck them in a baggie and froze them. Added them to the cooler with the icepack. Put them on the back of our necks. Really helped take the edge off when we started to feel hot.
